As i pulled in the drive
and the time had come,
come to say goodbye.
We held each other for one last time,
held on to each other forgetting about time.
I wish i could have held on to you like that all night.
You said those words,
the ones i never wanted to hear,
but, eventually they came and all i felt was fear.
One last touch of your hand,
one last moment of total and complete bliss.
I looked out the window,
only to find you almost gone,
and as i watched you walk away,

i started the car and drove away.
Now here i am alone in the night,
fighting the fight and wanting it right.

You opened my eyes and showed me true love,

We said goodbye and we'll never forget,
