Fun Filled Week
First i would like to say congrats to Mohd. Hasif Ahmad for winning a GOLD medal for Saint Johns in the recent 3rd MSSKL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP. Also congrats to the rest of the SJI team on giving it their all..SJI MSSKL TEAM:- Lim Kok Cheong (MOIS)- Mohd. Hasif Ahmad (MBW)- Yap Khim Yaw (ACTION)- Selvaraja A/L Palaniappan (MOIS)Went to Redang this week with hen, yap, tk, dharshan, reene, pey chyi, eddrick, chee how and few of chee how's friends.... we left KL on sunday night.... the bus ride was terrible because the bus was shaking the whole way ... felt like i was in one of the rollercoster rides in genting than on a bus... the bus trip was 8 hrs and i think i got about an hrs sleep at the most... but it was fun chit-chatting in the bus though... helped pass the time.... reach KT at 6.30am then boarded the boat to redang beach resort at 9.30am ..... when we reached the resort...to my shock they didn't have a jetty.... my jeans got soaked right up to my knees...ish .... come on ppl a small wooden jetty doesn't cost that much... haha...The rooms were very basic .... 2 double decker beds, closet, bathroom, and a dressing table.... no tv or radio.... and of all the things the bathroom door lock was spoilt.... Luckily my room-mates all very good ;) ..... most of the days were spent snorkeling or on the beach ....the weather forecast prediction of rain & thunderstorm was way way way off...it was bright and sunny...the perfect weather..... the beach was really very beautiful sooooo much better than PD or Penang.... snorkeling was very exciting ... the water was soo clear... saw lots of colourful fishes and corrals.... oh i saw NEMO in his hse ... hahaha... oh and there is this part near the resorts with baby sharks....swimming around with the baby sharks was really cool, saw about 6 or 7 baby sharks...think they were blacktip reef sharks..not too sure though...poor yap had such a hard time spotting the sharks and trying to take its pic...haha..They had an open air disco at night on the first night..... yap was eager to go so we followed him .... honestly it was a bit boring.... the worst part there were 2 guys who started stripping down to their underwear to one of the songs.... that was extremely funny and gross at the same time...The second day we went snorkeling at the marine park ... nothing much there except there was a shipwreck ...that was quite interesting....and we got to feed the fishes which was cool.... that night dharshan, reene, pey chyi, hen and myself spent the night out on the beach .... it was a full moon so it was a pretty bright night and was nice and breezy.... camped out on the beach chairs .......did get quite cold around 4am though ..... our intentions were to watch the sun rise...Unfortunately when the time came the sky was too cloudy and all we could see was orange....but had a great time anyway.checked out of the hotel at 7.30am.... on the boat ride back we saw dolphins ....how cool is that .... according to the staff on the boat its really hard to see dolphins... lucky lucky us.... the bus ride back was great, didn't seem like 8 hrs at all ..... managed to get some sleep too as the bus wasn't as shaky as the previous one.... they showed Kung Fu Hustle, managed to watch 1/4 before i fell asleep....Well this is probably the last trip i'll be going on b4 the trip to korea...... had the time of my life... so far its the best trip yet ...."Power is created in the mind, Rooted in the feet, developed in the legs, directed by the hips, transferred through the torso, focused in the feet or hands and felt in the spirit." Changed my skin again..back to a normal simple skin... found the last one a bit too slow to load...hope u like this one..went for my cousin's wedding in ipoh last weekend....stayed in Excelsior Hotel..... the groom is a German guy but he stays in England...nice guy ... friendly... oh yeah on request from my cousin i was made one of the chauffeurs for the grooms family and friends... they were all very friendly and pleasant... and very interested in our culture... according to them english weddings are just too boring ... haha... the best thing is i think by the end of the whole thing they probably know more than me...well anyway was great seeing almost all of my relatives again... havent seen some of them in years.....two of my relatives told me i look shorter..ish annoying...hope im not having degenerative growth already..The wedding was very looooong though...tamil wedding...slept quite late the previous night so i was feeling soooo sleepy throughout the ceremony.... the wedding dinner was fun...close family and friends only .... was at Syuen Hotel... Chinese course dinner.. had a few drinks also (which made the evening seem even better..haha)... hmm my witty uncle was the emcee..gosh he was hilarious....had a couple of performances... my nephew and niece did a dance number, my uncles friend who is an Elvis impersonator belted out a few elvis hits and my cousin sang some songs as well.... oh my 11/2 year old nephew was sooo cute ...during the elvis song he went to the stage and started dancing...got his mum's dancing gene i think ....had the normal toast and speeches...the grooms best man (a childhood friend) gave a wonderful speech....the grooms father broke down in tears during his speech..and the groom went to give him a hug ... that was a touching moment....the evening ended with some dancing...great fun ....one of the grooms friends was really funny during the dancing ...hehe think he was a bit drunk already.... went back to my hotel at bout 1am...came back from ipoh on monday night....now looking forward to the redang trip at the end of the month...oh got a really nice blue colour cicak stuff toy as a gift (THANK U) ."Knowledge does not grow like a tree where you dig a hole, plant your feet, cover them with dirt, and pour water on them daily. Genting
Spent the majority of last week in Genting...Monday to Wednesday attended the MTA National Technical Poomsae Seminar with wilson and 3 others from my academy, Master Michael Liew, Shyu Pyeng and Zaidi... we had 5 koreans come down to conduct the seminar... Master John Deuk Moo Hur ( malaysian envoy to kukkiwon & WTF), Master Seong Ran Seol (Kukkiwon Instructor), Ms. Kim (daughter of Master Seong and 2004 world poomsae gold medalist, 17 years old, quite cute also ..haha), a Kumdo Instructor (korean swordsmanship) and one more 18 year old girl who is a 2 times world taekwondo championship gold medalist, sparring event.... All the koreans were really friendly but only master john could speak english well ..... anyway the course was a real eye-opener.... lots of changes to the junior and senior poomsaes as well as a lot of discussions about the political issues plaguing MTA..... on the last day the national team and the elite team dropped by... took a pic with elaine teoh... RTM did some filming on the last day as well ... will be aired on fokus sukan this coming thursday at midnight (sucky channel, and sucky time slot) but must watch maybe can see my face .. hahaha...the seminar ended around 12.30 had lunch then checked out ... zaidi was kind enough to drop wilson and myself at the skyway... went to meet up with yappi, dharshan, pey chyi, yao xian, teck keng and hen hen...unfortunately when we reached the top we got lost trying to find the main entrance to the team park...walked for around 20 mins all the while lugging our heavy bags along....Stayed at Ria Apartment... the rest of the day was spent at the theme park .... then at night when to first world for dinner...after that went clubbing ... nice club ..freaking expensive but their song selection was excellent.... Hen insisted that she didnt want to sleep that night (something bout ghost) so me, yap, hen and pey chyi sat chit chatting and listening to radio but we were mostly doozing off most of the time .... i woke up at 3am ... yap and pey chyi had gone into the room to sleep...didnt wake me up also ... hen also KO on the chair already ....finally went into the room at 3am... dang dharshan woke me up at 8am ... played cards.... checked out at 12... oh and poor wilson lost his wallet in the bus on the way back... when for lunch at desa setapak... finally all bersurai at bout 3.30 i think ... all in all a very tiring and fun week."I am not teaching you anything. I just help you to explore yourself."- Bruce Lee
